Philadelphia Newborn Photographer

Newborn photography has become increasingly popular over the years.  We also know there are a ton of photographers to choose from. Whether you choose us (obviously we hope you do!) or you choose someone else, we wanted to share a few ways you can best prepare for your session.

As any seasoned mom or dad will tell you, the newborn stage goes by insanely quick.  In the hectic hours of nursing, diapering, and trying to sleep, you don’t want to miss out on documenting this phase in your life.

Newborn photography has become increasingly popular over the years.  We also know there are a ton of photographers to choose from. Whether you choose us (obviously we hope you do!) or you choose someone else, we wanted to share a few ways you can best prepare for your session.

Get in the photos

Over the years we have heard the same story from moms in particular. Initially they didn’t want to be photographed for reasons like “I look a hot mess right now and don’t feel up to it” or “Lets just focus on the baby and I will get in them next time when I loose these 10 pounds.” Well the sad part is almost every mom has come back and wished they had photographs with their newborn baby. There is nothing in the world like the fierce love you experience when you have a new baby. Documenting this in a photograph is  something you will never regret.

Plus here at the studio we make it super easy to feel and look amazing. Our studio wardrobe is dedicated to expecting and new mamas and you can borrow from it! We even recommend using one of our hair and makeup artists the day of your session. Why wait til next time when we can make you look and feel amazing now?

Be patient

Everyone wants to get that perfect picture, and if you’re looking fora  newborn photographer in Philadelphia  then you have come to the right place.  Our studio is equipped with everything we need for a successful session. We have a cozy sitting area so parents can feel comfortable, since sessions can go anywhere for 2-3 hours.  As many new moms already know, you can never predict your baby’s mood or her sleep patterns, especially in the early days.  Try to just remain calm and go with the flow. With years of experience and hundreds of newborn sessions under my belt I have developed a system so things run fairly smooth.

Safety First

With newborn photography being so popular right now we feel it’s extremely important to focus on safety vs getting that perfect posed image. Not all babies can do all poses which is why we have our brand geared towards “baby led posing”.  Again this goes whether you choose us or someone else. Please do your research and make sure the photographer you choose has extensive experience working with babies. You can rest assured that years of working with these tiny little humans has taught me how to handle newborns with the greatest of care and safety is always my top priority!
